Hola!!!!

I hope everyone has had a super awesome week because I sure have! I don´t know why, but it´s been a good week. My companion and I have been working super hard, and this week we got a letter from our mission president telling us that he´ll be attending our stake conference and that he´d like to meet Miguel (the guy that got baptized last week). We´re doing super good and it´s just been great . . . it´s slowly dawning on me that my mission really is starting on the downhill slope and I´m trying to work super hard so that time doesn´t slip away from me. Serving a proselyting mission really is a once in a life time thing, and I´ll never get another chance to do it! So yeah . . . anyway, reaching the year mark this week has been making me think about things like that.

The month of June is a really busy month full of a lot of memories. I love the month of June, because it´s the day I left on my mission, it´s usually when school lets out, it´s my birthday,  . . . a lot of good things. But also, this month, I´ve been thinking about a friend who was taken a couple years back. I remember going to his funeral, and his youth pastor said that he hadn´t deserved to go to Heaven (in the sense that he didn´t deserve to die). It was so incredibly sad, to think that they believed that our time on earth was the high point of our existence. I declare to every person that reads this, that our time on earth is simply a probationary period of learning and growing and repentance. That our time on earth is a small spec compared to eternity, and that God has a greater destiny for each one of us. I know that God has a plan, and that He is our Father, and just like every father, He wants us to become like Him. Our glory is His glory. Our eternal happiness is His eternal happiness and because of our Savior Jesus Christ, every person will live again, never again to die. God is wise and all knowing, and has a purpose for every single one of us. I know that my friend is learning about the gospel, and will have the chance to accept it and gain eternal life and that he will live again, because Christ lives.

I´m just so happy to be on the mission and to be able to share these eteranl truths. Our existence is not a coincidence. Life is too perfect and too beautiful to be a coincidence. I know that we have a creator, and that He didn´t just send us here for the heck of it. He has an eternal plan for His children, that we may be exalted and become like Him. And if you doubt any of my words, get on your knees and HUMBLY and SINCERELY ask God if it´s true.

I love being a missionary!

Thank you for all your support and prayers! I love you all!
